Are Comments Important For Blogs?

A simple question, but frankly the most basic ideas to what blogs are created at first. People want to have their daily journal online, so that the writing can be read anytime anywhere as long as there are internet connections. People share their daily activities, sometimes their thoughts and opinions about the prominent issues which occur at the current time.

As blogs are equipped with the comment box, anyone can share their opinions on what someone has wrote on their blog [Some blogs might set their privacy protection thus not everyone can put their comment on the blog]. The comment could just say “I agree/disagree with you” or even get more complex with longer comments as well as two paragraphs. This way, blogs automatically creates the two ways communication pattern which is more interactive than ordinary websites.

The first time I blog, honestly it was quite frustrating whenever I found no one put their comments, whereas I have more than 20 posts. Temporarily, I lost the eagerness to write and make post afterwards. I laid back and thought what should be done to drive other people to read and made comments to my blog. I realized that the key was conversation. How could my blog receive comments, while I never put comment on other blogs?

As I began commented on blogs, slowly my blog has its reciprocal result. People that the blogs I commented then visit my blog, read the posts, and leave their comments. I felt so happy that I can have my blogging spirit for next days to post.

Are comments important for blogs? For me, yes. It encourages me to keep post and share thoughts. And you, I believe that you have your own words to speak out, aren’t you?
